We are proud to join the consortium delivering the first project for the British Fashion Council’s (BFC) Institute of Positive Fashion (IFP), the ‘Circular Fashion Ecosystem’.
Recognising the fashion industry’s environmental impact is substantial, the BFC brings together the collective power of the fashion industry to create a circular fashion economy in the UK.
QSA will provide technical expertise and deep sector knowledge, in collaboration with our consortium partners, to create the vision for a new fashion ecosystem and an industry roadmap to deliver change.
We will be consulting industry, academia and government to identify the practical steps for these programme objectives:
- Accelerate industry-wide ability for textile recycling in the UK.
- Make the UK a major fashion “revalue” centre within the global industry.
- Influence consumer behaviour into adopting responsible consumption habits.
We’ve already helped the BFC to focus its ambition on a wider circular approach, recognising that action will need to happen across the product lifecycle and value chain and not just recycling at the end of a garment’s life.
